Privacy Policy

1. Information you do not need to provide

Normal use does not require an account, citizen login, subscription, Aadhaar number, PAN number, certificate number, phone number or government login credentials. We do not ask you to upload government documents to view service requirements.

2. Your checklist and browser storage

The IDs of documents you tick are saved in localStorage in this browser. The checklist code does not send those selections to Carry Right servers or create a citizen account. Progress is linked to a service and its content version; updated content can start a new checklist.

Use Reset checklist to clear the current selection. To remove all saved versions, clear this site’s browser data. Storage normally remains until you or your browser removes it. If storage is unavailable, the checklist still works for the current visit.

3. Search information

Search text is sent to Carry Right’s API to find services. Suggestions are requested as you type after a short pause. Submitted searches can appear in the page URL and browser history. The current search implementation does not write queries to a search-analytics database.

Do not enter Aadhaar numbers, PAN numbers, certificate IDs, passwords or other sensitive personal information into search. Search uses our service database; it does not send your query to an external AI provider.

4. Technical information and logs

The server processes connection information to deliver pages, handle errors and limit abuse. The supplied access-log configuration records IP address, timestamp, request method, page path, response status and response size. It excludes query strings from access logs. Security and error logs may contain diagnostic request information.

Hosting infrastructure may process technical information needed to operate and secure the service. No specific hosting provider or fixed log-retention period is represented here; these depend on the deployment. Contact us for the applicable retention details.

5. Feedback and contact messages

The feedback editor creates a text file on your device. It does not submit the note to us. If you email support, we receive the email address, message and any attachments you send so we can respond. Include only information needed to explain the issue.

Calling or using a WhatsApp business link shares information through your chosen communication service. A pre-filled WhatsApp message is not sent automatically. LinkedIn and Instagram links open external profiles; there are no embedded social feeds or tracking widgets.

6. Advertising and consent

Carry Right has an optional Google AdSense integration. The current advertising status is shown below. When live advertising is configured, Cookiebot loads to manage consent. AdSense loads only after the advertising consent checks pass and an eligible ad slot is visible.

If ads are allowed, Google and consented partners may process page URLs, IP addresses, browser information, cookies and advertising identifiers to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud and personalise advertising where permitted. Google’s linked policies explain its own processing. Declining advertising does not restrict service information.

7. Analytics and other services

No Google Analytics, profiling or fingerprinting integration is installed. Optional ad diagnostics, if enabled, dispatch browser-local events containing the placement, page type and public service slug; no analytics collector or network transmission is implemented. They do not record ad clicks or checklist selections.

The public data API is Carry Right’s own Django service. Fonts and the Carry Right logo are served with the app. Cookies used for staff administration are separate from citizen browsing. See the Cookie Policy for storage and consent details.

8. External government websites

Official government portals operate independently. Their privacy policies, security, availability, content and procedures are controlled by the relevant authorities. Carry Right does not control and is not responsible for those external privacy practices. Review their policies before submitting information.

Carry Right is an independent citizen-information platform. It is not an official Government of Telangana, MeeSeva, Government of India, or other government website unless explicitly stated otherwise.

9. Children’s privacy

Carry Right is a general citizen-information utility. It does not intentionally request unnecessary personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent us sensitive information can contact support for assistance.

10. Security and your choices

The platform uses measures such as restricted administrative access, input validation, security headers and search rate limits. The production deployment supports HTTPS. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

You can clear local checklist data, change or withdraw advertising consent, and manage cookies through your browser. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion of personal information or raise a privacy concern. Contact support with enough detail to identify your request, without sending government identifiers.

11. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Carry Right’s features, third-party services, or legal requirements change. The revision date above identifies the latest update.
